Cisco has recently announced that
all Cisco PIX Series devices are to be made ‘end of life’,
and replaced with the Cisco ASA Series. The ASA Series has far more
benefits and cost savings and so is seen as having huge advantages
to both the business and technology side of your organisation. For
one thing, Cisco has cited this new ASA Series as being their highest
performance security appliance ever.
Promotion
Cisco is offering a rebate scheme on all PIX devices, on an equipment
buy-back basis. The rebate is available for a while but is not unlimited;
